Online therapy works by offering the same professional support and guidance as in-person sessions, but through virtual platforms such as Zoom or Skype. This flexible approach allows clients to engage in therapy from the comfort of their own homes or any other private space, removing the need for travel and making therapy more accessible.

As a therapist who has completed master’s level research into the effectiveness of online therapy, I have a deep understanding of its benefits and how to make it work for various individuals and issues. My research shows that online therapy is highly effective for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, and personal growth. The evidence suggests that, with the right approach, online therapy can provide the same level of positive outcomes as in-person therapy.

One of the key strengths of online therapy is its accessibility and flexibility—it can fit into your life more easily, reducing barriers to seeking help. It also enables people who might struggle with traditional therapy settings, such as those with mobility issues or living in remote areas, to receive high-quality care.

With my expertise, I bring the best practices from my research directly into our sessions. I ensure that the virtual experience feels personal, supportive, and safe, just as if we were sitting together in the same room. My goal is to make your online therapy experience effective, comfortable, and tailored to your unique needs, allowing you to experience meaningful progress and personal growth, no matter where you are.

What is Counselling & Psychotherapy?

How Does Online Therapy Work & Is it Effective?

The frequency of therapy sessions varies depending on your individual needs, goals, and the specific challenges you're facing.

Ultimately, the frequency of your sessions will be something we discuss together. The goal is to find a balance that supports your well-being, without overwhelming you, while ensuring you're making meaningful progress at a pace that feels comfortable. Regular reviews of your progress will also help us adjust the frequency of therapy as your needs evolve.

How Often Will I Need To Go To Counselling?

My Counselling and Psychotherapy practice is based on a therapeutic approach called Humanistic and Integrative Counselling, which combines elements of humanistic psychology with techniques from various other therapeutic models to offer a holistic and personalized form of therapy.

Humanistic counselling is rooted in the belief that everyone has the capacity for personal growth, self-awareness, and positive changes. It focuses on the present moment, helping my clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their feelings.

Integrative counselling blends techniques and concepts from multiple therapeutic approaches to fit the unique needs of the client. It recognizes that no single method is suitable for every individual. Instead, it tailors therapy to the person's circumstances, background, and emotional state.
